Florida safety Rashad Johnson talks about his trip to Louisville; could he return?

Bushnell, Fla., South Sumter safety Rashad Johnson made it to the University of Louisville on Monday for an unofficial visit.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Johnson checked out spring practice, checked out the facilities on his first trip, and was able to spend some time with the coaches.

Louisville football began spring practice on March 19. With more than two dozen newcomers – the bulk via the transfer portal – the progress of the Cardinals would be of high interest throughout each of the team’s practice sessions leading up to the spring game on April 19.

Following the first day of work, UofL head coach Jeff Brohm was complimentary of his rebuilt roster and looked forward to improvement that would be made through the final practice.

“I do like the makeup of our team. They’ve worked hard to this point. They’ve had a good offseason in the weight room and conditioning. Now we’ve got to utilize these 15 practices as much as we can and really, really get better to study the game in order to win.”

Cardinal Authority has been there for each open practice, plus each of the coach and player interviews sessions, and will do so throughout the completion of spring practice. Below is a collection of much of the spring coverage, including recruiting reports of key prospects making visits.
