Jurgen Klopp has already confirmed that Liverpool will finish the second half of the season with the options they currently have in the squad.

Despite a flurry of activity across the English Premier League, it appears the Reds are willing to let one of their rivals swoop in for reported target (GiveMeSport) Moises Caicedo in January.

Given the clear priority given to Jude Bellingham as a transfer, we can understand the reluctance on the part of Liverpool’s purse holders.

Given how a lack of Champions League football may limit us in that area, it’s a little perplexing why the club is unwilling to invest at all – even with comparably cheaper options.

For example, why aren’t we looking into a potential deal for Sander Berge – a player Jurgen Klopp is still said to admire – when Sheffield United are desperate for cash?

We believe in the squad we have, but it feels like we’re gambling on Stefan Bajcetic and Naby Keita not getting injured, returning stars making an impact across the pitch, and one of Fabinho or Jordan Henderson returning to form.
