Predicted Chelsea starting lineup vs West Ham as Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia decisions made

Chelsea travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham United this afternoon with Mauricio Pochettino looking for his first Premier League victory as Blues head coach

Chelsea will be looking to get their first win of the Premier League season this afternoon as they make the short trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United.

Last weekend saw the Blues fight back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Axel Disasi, who was making his debut for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, scored his first goal of the game as once again the Blues and the Reds could not be separated.

It’s been a busy week off the pitch since then. Chelsea welcomed Moises Caicedo to the club for a British record £115million earlier in the week and a few days later they completed the signing of Romeo Lavia from Southampton in a deal believed to be worth £58million.

Meanwhile, Kepa Arrizabalaga has left the club to join Real Madrid on loan, leaving Robert Sanchez as the current No.1. And in some really bad news for Mauricio Pochettino, club captain Reece James has suffered a hamstring injury and is now set for weeks on the sidelines.

With that said, who will start for Chelsea against West Ham this afternoon? football.london has done its best at predicting just that. Let us know if you agree in the comments section below…

With Kepa Arrizabalaga now a Real Madrid player until the end of the season, Robert Sanchez looks to be Pochettino’s first-choice goalkeeper for the time being.

With Reece James suffering a hamstring injury in the week, Malo Gusto now looks for a lengthy period in Pochettino’s side at right-back. Gusto came on in the second-half against Liverpool last weekend for his Chelsea debut.

Thiago Silva still has a massive significance to the side despite the Brazilian turning 39 next month. Silva played the full 90 minutes against Liverpool a week ago

Levi Colwill made his full Chelsea debut last weekend and was set a really difficult task up against Mohamed Salah. Despite struggling against the Egyptian early on, the 20-year-old defender grew into the game against Liverpool’s talisman.

Ben Chilwell was one of the standout performers for Chelsea against Liverpool last weekend. The 26-year-old left-back is set to start on Sunday at West Ham United despite competition from Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen.
