As Liverpool held on to take another three points against West Ham at Anfield to maintain their perfect start to the new season, goals from Mohamed Salah,Darwin Nunez,Diogo Jota and some excellent performances from the rest of the team saw one player rise above the rest to claim his own personal Man of the Match award.

Alexis Mac Allister has been slowly making his mark since joining the club from Brighton in the summer for a fee of around £35 million, and while Dominic Sotozlai has been highly praised for his performances, it was Mac Allister who stole the show today with a brilliant assist.

Aldridge took to social media to declare that the moment of quality was why Mac Allister deserved to be his pick for Man of the Match.

All eyes are on the new-look Liverpool midfield and Mac Allister is making a good start.

The new arrivals have hit the ground running and it looks like Mac Allister has moved on from his red card at the start of the season to score goals in recent weeks.

“He was fantastic today,” said Aldridge, “and that bodes well for the future.”

West Ham fans Phil Sands, 27, Billy Simpson, 30, Jacob Rankin, 29, and Blue Gregory, 29, all from Colchester, Essex, have been given “football banning orders” meaning they are banned from attending a West Ham game for a specified period of time.

The four were identified following a joint investigation between Met Police and Netherlands Police into a series of video clips posted on social media showing the men fighting in the Netherlands.

The incidents took place during the club’s Europa Conference league semi-final against AZ Alketmaar at the London Stadium on May 18th.

All four will also be required to hand over their passports for all European games, meaning they will not be able to travel outside the UK.
