Nottingham Forest injury news: Danilo out, Felipe out, Tavares in as the Reds prepare to take on Brentford in the Premier League at City Ground. Steve Cooper’s men will be hoping to avoid defeat as they prepare to take on the Bees in the Premier League.

Netherlands national football team manager Steve Cooper will be hoping to continue his winning ways when Nottingham Forest host Brentford at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon, following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Manchester City and Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Burnley.

Following on from last Saturday’s positive news from Serge Aurier’s return from injury, as well as the return to full-back status for willy Boly, Cooper has some difficult selection decisions to make ahead of Saturday’s game against the Bees. Let’s take a closer look at Forest’s injury picture.

What we know so far:

The full-back was stretchered off with 40 minutes remaining in the match against City after appearing to tweak an ankle while making a forward run.

He attempted to continue after receiving medical attention, but limped off.

What’s next?

Manager Cooper said: “I don’t know how he is. I think he’s gone off with a slight groin issue. We’ll have to check him out. It looked that way, but I don’t know.”

What we know so far:
The Brazilian was set to make his Carabao Cup debut against Burnley, but was forced off at the half-hour mark due to a hamstring injury. He had undergone a scan before the game with Chelsea and was a doubt for the visit.
He was given the green light to start at Stamford Bridge, but lasted just 45 minutes before limping out.
He was taken off in the second half and had to be stretchered off after being treated on the field.
He then withdrew from the Brazilian Under-23s and was not in the squad on Monday night

What have we learned so far?

“Danilo will be out for a couple of weeks,” Cooper said ahead of the game with City.

What we know: Felipe has been out of action with a knee injury since the start of pre-season and has barely trained over the summer. He has yet to make a single first-team appearance this season, although he has been on the bench for Carabao Cup games against Burnley and Chelsea. He has played an hour for Under-21s in their EFL Trophy game against Harrogate, but has not been part of a match-day squad since the start of the new season.

What we know so far:

“Felipe is working his way back to the group, but it’s something we have to manage all the time,” said Cooper last week.
