Caller on Cleveland Sports Radio Suggests Kevin Stefanski for the harm to Nick Chubb

The Cleveland Browns have recently through a rough patch. On Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Nick Chubb suffered a terrible knee injury. In a convincing victory over the Tennessee Titans the next week, Deshaun Watson, for the first time in a Browns uniform, appeared to resemble the quarterback he was prior to the sexual assault allegations. The team was then forced to start rookie fifth-round pick Dorian Thompson-Robinson on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens after Watson mysteriously sustained an injury in practice building up to this week.

It went horribly. Cleveland fell short 28–3. It’s difficult to predict how the rest of the season will play out as they now sit at 2-2. Although the defense is strong, the offense clearly needs to contribute more.

The line of reasoning is a little difficult to follow, but Carman and Lima handled everything expertly. This is a seasoned radio host’s strategy on display.

Cleveland Browns v Pittsburgh Steelers

We’ll hear more about Stefanski’s firing if the Browns’ season continues to go poorly. It’s interesting that throughout the last three years, his job hasn’t actually been under danger, but he’s always been dealt an odd card, so it makes some sense. But in the NFL, you can only go so long without seeing any action.

To be clear, he did not directly contribute to Chubb’s injuries. But Stefanski must improve if he wants to be the target of irate radio rants from fervent fans.

Browns injury: Dawand Jones leaves the field with a limp
The officials saw something, and the youngster hobbled away.

The Cleveland Browns continue to battle injuries against the Baltimore Ravens even though the game appears to be beyond them. Nick Harris replaced OL Ethan Pocic as the team’s center since Pocic alternated between being in and out. Rookie OL Dawand Jones hobbled off the field in the first minute of the fourth quarter:

Cleveland completed the possession without learning Jones’ condition or the nature of his injury. The Browns training crew was really called by the match officials to attend to Jones on the field.

What they’re saying after the Ravens humiliate the Browns is, “The minute Deshaun Watson was ruled out, this game was over.”

Ohio’s Cleveland — Deshaun Watson’s injury against the Ravens made it much harder for the Browns to win their final game before the bye week before the game even started. Dorian Thompson-Robinson and the rest of the Browns were completely outmatched at home by the Ravens, losing 28-3.

In his first NFL start, Thompson-Robinson threw three interceptions, while Lamar Jackson excelled for the Ravens. Jackson and the Ravens made the renowned Browns defense look weak, scoring two touchdowns through the air and two more on the ground.

The Browns managed just 166 yards of total offense while playing without their primary quarterback, averaging 2.6 yards per play. The Ravens improve to 3-1 and now lead the AFC North by themselves, with the Browns and Steelers tied for second at 2-2.

When the Browns return from their bye, the 49ers will pay them a visit.

“As soon as Deshaun was out, this was a loss by default. That is Berry’s fault. There is no justification for using a rookie as the backup in a season where victory is essential. I like the kid, therefore it’s not DTR’s fault. Not to excuse Stefanski, but I don’t really care for him. But Berry is to blame for this defeat, plain and simple, wrote Cleveland sports commentator Will Burge.

“DTR has no fear. It offers benefits, but there are also some clear drawbacks. He’s a roller coaster, much like his college career at UCLA,” said Pete Smith for Browns Digest.

“Andrew Berry will have a LONG break next week. It’s difficult to beat the Ravens with Lamar anyhow. However, exchanging the backup quarterback for a late-round selection pick was never justified. They ruined their chances of winning this game, according to Aaron Goldhammer of ESPN Cleveland.

“Always should have a Vet QB with a good team,” wrote former Browns punter Dave Zastudil on Facebook.
