Raiders star sends clear message after los
The Las Vegas Raiders’ 26-14 loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football left the Raiders searching for answers — especially on the offensive side of the ball.

But according to one star Las Vegas player, those answers are going to have to come from someone other than hims

“I don’t know, it ain’t my job,” running back Josh Jacobs answered after the game when asked what could spark the Raiders offense, according to NFL Network’s Bridget Condon.

Jacobs’ comments could hardly be seen as a ringing endorsement of Las Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels, who has been much maligned during his time in Las Vegas. Dating back to McDaniels’ arrival ahead of the 2022 season, the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator has amassed a 9-15 record with the Raiders, including a 3-5 mark in 2023.

hrough eight games, Las Vegas ranks 31st in the NFL with 268.3 yards per game and 30th with 15.8 points. That’s a far cry from what the Raiders were expecting as they entered the 2023 campaign with lofty expectations following the acquisition of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo this past offseason.

Jacobs is hardly the only Las Vegas star who appears unhappy with the state of the offense, as All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams has also voiced his displeasure on multiple occasions.

Jacobs is hardly the only Las Vegas star who appears unhappy with the state of the offense, as All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams has also voiced his displeasure on multiple occasions.

“It’s not hard to maintain confidence in our offense,” Adams said following the loss to the Lions. “It’s just hard to curb your frustration when you can’t put it together when you know you should.”

After leading the NFL with 1,653 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2022, Jacobs has rushed for just 347 yards and two touchdowns through the Raiders’ first seven games. Currently playing on a one-year contract after being franchise tagged last offseason, the Alabama product could make for an intriguing candidate to be dealt ahead of the NFL trade deadline at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
