Kamara confident of improvement

Glen Kamara says he’s getting better with more game time at Leeds United, promising his best form is still to come as he recovers from a difficult pre-season. The 28-year-old midfielder was one of the last signings of the summer when joining from Rangers in a deal worth around £5m.

A late arrival, and having been left of the periphery at Rangers, Kamara was playing catch-up from the start, explaining his lack of game time in the early stages of the campaign. The player is now starting to feel much stronger and says he’s finding his rhythm and that’s making a difference.

He told the e Official Leeds United Podcast: “Yeah definitely, I think it will come with rhythm in time. I had a bad pre-season in itself and I feel like I am now getting back to myself. I am playing a bit more games than I have been over the last year or so. I am feeling better now, and fitter.

Lampard’s return

David Wagner is still in a job at Norwich City, but for how much longer now seems to be the question. There are reports this weekend that a defeat today against Cardiff City will mean an exit for the Canaries boss, with Frank Lampard already being lined up to replace him.

Lampard was last employed by Chelsea in what was a disastrous run in charge as the interim boss as the club struggled to pick up points in the Premier League. The former Blues player has not had the best record so far, with an okay spell in charge at Derby followed by a difficult time at the helm of Everton.

Norwich are still within touching distance of the play-off places and should there be a managerial change, the expectation will be for the club to climb the Championship table quickly and get back firmly in the hunt for promotion.

The Manager of the Month curse is well known, but does it exist for players too? Crysencio Summerville took home the October gong yesterday after a spectacular run of form for the Whites.

All eyes will be on whether the winger can continue in that rich vein of form or whether the award weighs heavy on his shoulders.
