David Moyes ought to be fired tonight if the latest claim made by a West Ham reporter is accurate.

Over the last six or seven weeks, David Moyes has presided over an utterly appalling run of results at West Ham, and Hammers co-owner David Sullivan is rumored to be actively looking for a replacement for the Scot.
Our dreams of finishing in the top six of the Premier League table are vanished as West Ham has gone eight games without a win across all competitions.

The football that Moyes is consistently playing is completely intolerable, especially considering the plethora of elite players at his disposal.

When the results were good, he was getting away with it, but now he has nowhere at all to hide. The Scot is rumored to be replaced by someone like Graham Potter, and if the bad performances and results keep up, he’ll undoubtedly be let go.

Before our next two games against Brentford and Everton, the board will not fire him, but if the latest

David Moyes should be sacked tonight

According to the Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, some West Ham players are ‘understood to be unenthused with Moyes’s brand of football’.It definitely shouldn’t come as a surprise! With the players we now have at the London Stadium, Moyes has no justification for not getting his squad started quickly.

But he consistently approaches games with a pessimistic and almost defeatist attitude. Not up to par.

I am positive that Moyes will not be managing the Hammers when the next season begins. Even football greats like Jose Mourinho have learned the hard way that this style of play is just unsustainable.

The issue at hand is that, should Steinberg’s assertion prove to be accurate and certain players are doubting Moyes’s coaching style, the Scot ought to be fired tonight.

Midway through the season, when we are still capable of accomplishing great things, we cannot have guys downing tools.

The removal of David Moyes at this time could perhaps preserve our season because West Ham can still win the Europa League and we can definitely place among the top seven in the Premier League.

But if the board hesitates and decides to retain the 60-year-old for an extended period of time, our season might come to an abrupt end.
