We would like to congratulate anyone who watched the whole Washington Commanders vs. New York Giants game on Sunday. The 18 combined punts between the two teams showed that the game was not just at an uncommonly low level, but the Commanders in particular displayed an offensive ability that was at best appalling and at worst excruciating to watch. For a brief moment, consider that in a game that they lost 14-7, quarterback Sam Howell and his teammates were only 1-for-15 on third downs and 1-for-3 in the red zone.

As you might imagine, after the loss, a lot of the Commanders’ players weren’t in the best of spirits. Jonathan Allen of Washington was questioned by the media following the game about what went wrong. “They gave us a whooping.” Quite simply put. It has to get better, the defensive tackle murmured. This is a fair judgment, but Allen lost his composure when questioned if things like that were “frustrating.” “Yes, it does,” Allen retorted. “I’m so sick and tired of this crap.
