Ohio State loses commitment from 2025 WR Jayvan Boggs
After committing to Ohio State back in October, four-star 2025 wide receiver Jayvan Boggs decided to back off his pledge earlier this week.
In an interview with On3, he revealed that there are an abundance of schools still pursuing him, which likely led to the move.
“Schools are still pursuing me to the fullest because they’re telling me they still want me at their school,” Boggs told CaneSport. “Signing day’s a long way away, so they’re telling me they’re going to keep showing me (love) and keep pursuing me to the end.”
Miami, Florida, and UCF are among the schools that are expected to be making a push and are in the mix for Boggs. According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, he ranks as the No. 189 player in the country, No. 24 wide receiver, and No. 27 player in the state of Florida.
This past season, Boggs racked up an astounding 93 catches for 1,493 yards and 23 receiving touchdowns.
Without Boggs, the Buckeyes still hold the No. 5 recruiting class in the country.
