Lou Anarumo really wanted Kris Jenkins to be a Cincinnati Bengal

Bengals attacked the trenches in round two as well

The Cincinnati Bengals attacked the weakest part of the roster in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.

At pick number 49, the Bengals selected Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Kris Jenkins.

Jenkins was an absolute stud for the Wolverines and was even given the nickname “The Mutant.”

During his time at Michigan, Jenkins tallied 112 total tackles, four sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery.

But what he did to wreck games didn’t always show up on the stat sheets…

Jenkins’s true pass-rush grade was in the 73rd percentile, 79th percentile pass grade without play action, 86th percentile in run defense, and 98th percentile……… Yes…… 98th percentile in run stop rate.

It is clear that Jenkins can be an instant impact guy in the Jungle, and defensive Lou Anarumo was stoked to call in the pick.

coordinator There was a massive run of defensive players in the second round, but the Bengals got their guy on the defensive line!

Welcome to Cincinnati, Kris Jenkins, from all of us, but especially from Lou Anarumo.
