“He’ll have surgery”: Reynolds’ extended absence from the Broncos is a serious blow.
In Friday night’s 40-18 loss to the Sydney Roosters, Brisbane captain Adam Reynolds tore his biceps, putting him out for at least three months.

Reynolds’ departure from the Suncorp Stadium field in the 46th minute, clutching his left arm, after tackling winger Fetalaiga Pauga, dealt a severe blow to the team’s hopes of winning the premiership.

Before, in the 19th minute, Broncos winger Jesse Arthars collided with opposing number Dominic Young, breaking his jaw and needing hospitalization.

Adam’s biceps are torn. Kevin Walters, the coach of the Broncos, stated, “I would have thought he would have surgery and be out for an extended period of time.”

“Jesse Arthars sustained two long-term injuries—he broke his jaw.”

Although Jock Madden is expected to be Reynolds’ long-term replacement, Walters reported that Madden’s pec injury against the Wests Tigers would heal in one to two weeks.

Due to the two touchdowns scored by prolific second-row player Angus Crichton, the Roosters led 18–6 at the half.

Early in the game, Crichton made a clean break and raced over from close range to give the Roosters a 12–6 lead.
The 28-year-old scored his second goal when he assisted center Joseph Sua’alii, who made an incredible around-the-corner pass to his powerful back-row player. He was in form, showcasing the skill that has led to 11 appearances for NSW.

NRL 2024: The battered Broncos are easily defeated by the Roosters.
Trent Robinson, the coach of the Roosters, stated that Crichton was enjoying a “purple patch” of play and that his team was pleased with how they won.

“I felt that in the first half, we had really good resilience. Although we had the advantage of possession, we worked really hard, and I thought the guys were running really well afterwards, Robinson remarked.

“I really enjoyed how the freedom and the level of hardness that we played with were balanced.”
