The Toronto Raptors will gave Gary Trent Jr. and Bruce Brown available with no expectations for Scottie Barnes to return this season

The Toronto Raptors will have both guards available Sunday evening against the Washington Wizards, the team announced. Trent is expected to slide back into the starting lineup with Brown returning to the bench following a two-game absence.

The Raptors will have 13 players available against Washington for the first time in over a month.

Expect Gradey Dick to come off the bench alongside Brown and either Jalen McDaniels, Jordan Nwora, or Javon Freeman-Liberty.

Scottie Barnes & Jakob Poeltl

Toronto remains without a timetable for Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl to return this season. The two are working toward a return, but it seems unlikely either player will be ready to go before the end of the season.

“I do not have expectations either way,” Raptors coach Darko Rajaković said. “I don’t have expectations that they’re gonna come back or not. But they’re ramping up, trying to get them in the best state possible.”

The Raptors have five games to go this year before the season will come to an end in Miami on Sunday, April 14.

Barnes fractured his left hand when Immanuel Quickley accidentally kicked him on March 1 while playing the Golden State Warriors.

Poeltl has been out since March 3 with a sprain in his left pinky that required surgery.

Chris Boucher and DJ Carton both remain out and are not expected to return this season. Jontay Porter continues to be investigated by the NBA following unusual gambling activity related to the Raptors center.
