Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has revealed that following the Toffees’ victory over Arsenal he told Amadou Onana that Goodison Park always creates brilliant atmospheres when the team win.

The Toffees managed to pick up their first victory since October against Arsenal at Goodison Park on 4th February.

Everton ended Mikel Arteta’s side’s 13-match unbeaten run in the Premier League with help of Jame Tarkowski’s 60th-minute header from Dwight McNeil’s corner.

Gueye, who played alongside Onana in Everton’s midfield against Arsenal, admitted that it was the best home atmosphere he has experienced since returning to the club last summer.

The midfielder also revealed that he told Onana after the game that Goodison Park always creates a magnificent atmosphere when Everton win.

When asked whether it was the best atmosphere he had experienced since his return, Gueye told Everton’s official site: “Yes definitely.

“I said this to Amadou after the game. ‘Did you see this atmosphere?’

“‘Everton look like that normally every time we win the game.’

“It was just for him to know that is how Everton can be, and how the fans can be very, very good with us.”

Everton will face Leeds United on Saturday at Goodison Park and Gueye will be eager to bounce back to winning ways in front of the home crowd.
