Reports over the past week or so in the Italian media have brought Andrea Radrizzani back into the picture for Inter Milan.

The gist of the story is that the businessman’s long term interest in the Serie A club could come to fruition in the coming months. Radrizzani would dispense with the rest of his Leeds United shares, and those funds would help him finance a deal for Inter.

There’s two problems he faces along the way. The first, and the most pressing right now, is Leeds United remaining in the Premier League.

If they don’t then the value of the Elland Road side would drop dramatically and therefore heavily impact the funds available to Radrizzani.

Then he has to hope that the competition for Inter isn’t too strong for him, in terms of other bidders having deeper pockets and access to much larger amounts of money.

FCInterNews present a potential problem in that regard, reporting there’s renewed interest from a group of Bahrain investors, with the group called Investcorp.

They’re getting ‘more and more intense’ for Inter Milan, which obviously isn’t great for Radrizzani’s hopes.

Leicester’s ‘huge’ win

Leicester City have moved out of the relegation zone with a comeback 2-1 victory over rivals Wolves on Saturday. Kelechi Iheanacho levelled the contest from the penalty spot after Matheus Cunha opened the scoring, and Timothy Castagne’s 75th-minute strike proved decisive.

It is the Foxes’ first win under interim boss Dean Smith, and will no doubt provide a confidence boost ahead of Tuesday night’s encounter with Leeds United. It now means Leicester could leapfrog the Whites with a second straight win at the King Power Stadium, and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker’s response proves the significance of the latest round of results.

Everton have slipped to 18th in the table following a goalless draw at Crystal Palace, with Mason Holgate receiving a late red card. Nottingham Forest twice equalised at Anfield, but left Merseyside empty-handed after a 3-2 defeat to Liverpool.

Gracia transcript

When asked about the tactical plan following a ‘damaging defeat’ at Fulham, Gracia said: “Today we try to be more aggressive in our pressure. I think we started pressing high, trying to recover more balls in the opposite half and I think in the beginning with pressing with Rodrigo and Brenden and Weston as well close to Palhinha, we control the building up of the of the rival. I think the first half was equal. We didn’t create many chances but we didn’t suffer a lot. And in the second after conceding the first goal and second was tough for us. Both goals coming from the same side two crosses.

“We had the balance into the box, but two goals and after that in this moment is hard to manage for us. Coming from two defeats it’s not easy. The team keep going. After we scored the goal, but it was late.”
