LEEDS GOALKEEPER ILLAN MESLIER SUGGESTED FOR MANCHESTER UNITED
Stan Collymore has suggested that Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United should sign Illan Meslier from Javi Gracia’s Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool striker has written in CaughtOffSide that Manchester United need to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window and move on from David de Gea.
The pundit has suggested French goalkeeper Meslier as a possible replacement for De Gea.
While Collymore is aware that Meslier is only 23, he believes that Manchester United could develop the youngster.

Collymore wrote: “Obviously the likes of Meslier has had a very, very difficult season at Leeds but he’s still a baby. Would he be someone they’d look to develop?”
In our view, Manchester United are unlikely to bring in Illan Meslier as a replacement for David de Gea.
Now, United may decide to let De Gea leave, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will surely want as good a goalkeeper as him for next season and beyond.
True, Meslier has been a regular for Leeds for years and has done well in the Premier League, but he is not an ‘elite’ goalkeeper yet.
We believe that if United sign a new goalkeeper, then they would get in someone who has extensive experience of domestic and European football and would be world class or about to become world class.
