Demarai Gray receives a message from Lewis Dobbin and James Garner following his confirmed transfer to Everton.
James Garner and Lewis Dobbin, both Everton players, sent Demarai Gray a three-word social media message after it was revealed that he had joined Al-Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia.
A protracted exit issue at Goodison Park came to a conclusion when Steven Gerrard’s team announced the transfer of the former Leicester City player on their Twitter account on Thursday morning, September 7.

The 27-year-old forward is thought to have agreed to a four-year agreement in the Middle East for almost £10 million, and the Toffees announced his departure at the same time.

Gray left Goodison Park to join players like Alex Iwobi, Neal Maupay, and Thomas Cannon. In a post on Instagram showing the attacker signing his Al-Ettifaq contract, Garner and Dobbin both said goodbye to the outgoing Everton striker.

The message was “Good luck, brother.”
Since Sean Dyche made it plain that the forward wasn’t in his plans for this season, while barring his exit during the transfer window, the transfer saga has continued for weeks.

It is the wisest course of action for all parties concerned as Everton gets rid of a player who no longer wants to play for the team and Gray realizes his dreams of moving on to greener pastures.

Even though players like Dobbin and Garner went out of their way to congratulate Gray on his departure from Goodison Park, both will undoubtedly be relieved that the issue that had cast a dark shadow over the team has come to an end.

The Jamaican international made it clear that he did not want to return to the Goodison Park field after what he saw to have been a year of harassment and “disrespect” under Dyche’s leadership when he was unable to join the club despite their lack of attacking alternatives the previous season.

Now that Everton has moved on, one player will undoubtedly take advantage of the opportunity to establish himself on Merseyside, and that player is undoubtedly Dobbin, who has already been given first-team responsibility this season.

Garner has a chance to shine this season as well. Both teams have possession of the ball.

Alan Myers has expressed his opinion regarding whether Everton will look at a free transfer possibility to replace Gray in other Everton news.
