According to reports, Forest believe they have made a £11 million acquisition who may be a future star.

Nottingham Forest believe that new acquisition Andrew Omobamidele has the potential to be a future star. The central defender beat the clock as the Reds had a late-day bid accepted on transfer deadline day.

According to The Athletic, Forest sees Omobamidele as a potential future starter. However, it has been speculated that he may still play a role in the short future.

The Reds believe they have acquired one of the top defenders outside of the EFL. Now, the Republic of Ireland international hopes to have a chance to play in the Premier League.

Sources: AC Milan ready to open talks to sign Norwich star Andrew Omobamidele as price tag emerges

Omobamidele played 55 times for Norwich before joining Forest. He rose through the club’s academy ranks, and the £11 million fee paid by the Reds may prove to be a steal.

Forest presently has a bunch of defenders on their team. Joe Worrall has been in excellent form, and the team also includes Willy Boly, Scott McKenna, Felipe, Moussa Niakhate, and Murillo.

Forest believes Omobamidele will be a future star.
This appears to be an intriguing signing. On transfer deadline day, Forest made a late bid to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, but when he refused the deal, the Reds shifted their emphasis.

Omobamidele appears to be a solid addition to the team, with one eye on the future. When he was 18, he was dubbed ‘excellent’ for his performance for Norwich versus Huddersfield.

The player’s future seems bright at 21 years old. Omobamidele has a solid reputation as a ball-playing central defender, so this appears to be a wise move.

Anthony Elanga, a Nottingham Forest attacker, has returned to the club following a minor injury. The 21-year-old did not play for Sweden in their 5-0 win over Estonia yesterday.

The player has now been released from the camp, according to Fotbolls EM. He will now return to Forest for treatment before the Reds face Burnley on Monday.

During the summer transfer window, Elanga joined Forest from Manchester United for a cost of £15 million. Last Saturday, he scored his first goal of the season as the Reds defeated Chelsea.

Forest will now have to wait for the degree of the injury to be determined. He’s thought to have picked up the small issue during a training session with the international team.

Elanga was expected to be on Sweden’s bench yesterday. However, the player was injured and would not be able to play in the match.

Elanga has returned to Forest instead of preparing to face Austria. Steve Cooper will be hopeful that the player recovers quickly and that this is only a minor niggle.

Elanga has an injury, and Forest is forced to wait.
This is bad news. In terms of injuries, Forest fans may be forgiven for feeling a sense of déjà vu, as last season was marred by a slew of them.

Elanga has made an excellent start to his Forest career. He’s already earned a goal and an assist, and the future seems bright for the Sweden international attacker.

The quick performer will be hoping to get back on his feet shortly. If this is truly a niggle, Forest may be relieved that he has been permitted to leave camp and will not risk aggravating it by playing for Sweden in midweek.

NEWS NOW: Nottingham Forest has now agreed to sign another great player from…….

Mitos Marinakis was anxious to sign Michy Batshuayi for Nottingham Forest this summer. The Reds were close to completing a deadline-day deal for the striker, but they ultimately chose Divock Origi.

According to The Athletic, the son of Evangelos Marinakis was interested in signing Batshuayi. Miltos is said to be a long-time admirer of the striker and was eager to get his hands on him.

Forest had previously pushed hard to sign him, and the aim in the boardroom was to test the waters again this summer. However, after it was evident that Origi was available, Forest decided to pursue that one instead.

Batshuayi is presently a Fenerbahce player in Turkey. He will remain at the club for the 2023/24 season after failing to secure a transfer away from the club during the summer.

The 29-year-old has played in England before with Chelsea and Crystal Palace. It’s been overseas where he’s had the most joy though and last season in Turkey he scored 20 goals in 32 appearances.

Marinakis fancied bringing Batshuayi to Forest

In truth, Forest have ended up with a better player in Origi. He has a much better pedigree in the Premier League and the club have managed to get him on loan in the first instance.

Batshuayi could have been handy, but he’d have demanded a large salary. The Reds needed more firepower, and it’s easy to see why Marinakis thinks Batshuayi is the man for the task.

Forest have signed Origi to bolster their team. He’ll be hoping to make an immediate impact at his new club, leaving Forest to wonder what may have been with Batshuayi.

Steve Cooper is concerned about a crucial player for Nottingham Forest ahead of their match against Burnley.
The latest Nottingham Forest news comes as Steve Cooper’s Reds prepare to play Burnley in just over a week.

Nottingham Forest have slightly longer to wait than most teams until their international break is over, with Steve Cooper’s side back in action a week on Monday (7.45pm).

Newly-promoted Burnley visit the City Ground with the Reds on a high from their result before the two-week break. Anthony Elanga’s goal at Stamford Bridge gave Forest a 1-0 win over Chelsea in what was the team’s second win of the season, and it leaves them comfortably in mid-table.

While some members of the squad prepare for Burnley’s visit, others are away on international duty representing their countries. As players return later this week, the entire squad will get together to prepare.

Cooper has one significant injury concern ahead of the encounter against Vincent Kompany’s side, and there has also been an update on one of Forest’s internationals. Here’s the most recent.

What we know: The Brazilian was scheduled to play against Burnley in the Carabao Cup, but he was forced to withdraw due to a hamstring injury. He had a scan prior to Saturday’s travel to the capital and was a question mark for the trip.

The midfielder was given the nod to start, but he only played for 45 minutes. He pulled up near the end of the first half and left the field after receiving treatment. He has since withdrawn from Brazil’s under-23 squad, and it is now a waiting game to see if he will be fit to face Burnley.

What we know: A knee injury kept the defender from playing in any of the Reds’ preseason games, and he barely trained over the summer. He has yet to play this season but has been on the bench for the last few games.

“Felipe is back training and was on the bench on Wednesday night,” Cooper revealed ahead of the Chelsea game. “It’s encouraging that he’s returned to us because we all know how important he was for us last season.”

“It was a variety of different things, different niggles,” Felipe said last month through a translator. I was diagnosed with kneecap fibrosis, which was impeding my progress. But that’s all there is to it.
