Frank Seravalli becomes a part of the show, and Chris Faber leaves: Talk about Canucks

Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff joined Chris Faber and me on today’s Canucks Conversation to discuss the latest on the 4-2 Vancouver Canucks!
When Teddy Blueger eventually makes a comeback, the three of us discussed potential replacements for him in the Canucks lineup. We’d all come to the conclusion that the club ought to be making a healthy scratch for a player like Anthony Beauvillier, not Nils Höglander. Seravalli also discussed expanding the game’s fan base beyond the existing ardent hockey enthusiasts and the NHL’s Frozen Frenzy.

As a cohost of Canucks Conversation and the managing editor of this website, I will do my best to respond to the many questions that I know will be asked.

First and foremost, we shall all miss Faber, but Blackfish will continue since he has been teaching Dave Hall the ropes when it comes to prospect coverage. We are grateful that Dave is here to replace Faber in leadership roles as he has been an excellent addition to our team. Regarding the show, I will have a new cohost, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Although the identity of the person is yet unknown, there will be significant updates on that front next week. Meanwhile, Faber is still here at CanucksArmy for 11 more days, and we have seven more programs together! I cannot emphasize enough how much we will

Every team played on Tuesday night during the NHL’s Frozen Frenzy, which was a huge success and made the league the buzz of North American sports. The Devils’ thrilling evening will be followed by just one game on Wednesday when they play the Capitals, according to the schedule makers.
Jack Hughes, a star with the Devils, has scorched the league this season, netting 14 points in just five games. Alex Ovechkin of Washington was one goal away from tying his career best of 14 against the Leafs on Tuesday, and he finally scored his first goal of the season on Tuesday night.
These are my top three picks for the game tonight.

This season has seen little change in Hamilton’s standing as one of the league leaders in shot production from defenders. In his past two games, Hamilton has attempted 12 shots, or six shots per game on average. This will be my only complete unit play of the evening because his over is typically a safe bet.
At point +135, Jack Hughes will record a power-play point. $23.50 would be my $10 wager’s return.
This season, Hughes has been quite effective when playing with an extra man, tallying eight power-play points in just five games. This season, Hughes has scored a power-play point in each game. We’ll take a chance. This is great, 8 units to win over 1U.

I believe that tonight is the night that Timo Meier finally pots a run; we will risk.5 units on this play. Meier has been incredibly quiet this season and has yet to score despite playing on a line with Jack Hughes. My $6.75 bet would return $19.40. Most of our bets are supported by statistical trends, but sometimes you just have to rely on gut feel.

At -118, Fillip Forsberg will register more than 3.5 shots. With a $12.50 wager, I would get $23.12. – HIT
At -134, the Vancouver Canucks will score on a power play. I would have won $21.87 on my $12.50 wager. – LOST
Quinn Hughes will clock in more than 2.5 seconds at +130. If I wagered $10, I would get $23. – HIT
Brady Tkachuk will score more than three shots at -143. I would win $17 from my $10 wager. – HIT
Vancouver received slightly more than one minute of power play time during the flawless evening. With a $45 stake and a $63.12 return, we have gained $50.24 (4.1 units) this year.
