David Moyes’s West Ham United could be a potential destination for Olivier Giroud, a player Arsenal sold to Chelsea for £18 million.

That’s according to The Sun, who have reported that Giroud could return to London at the end of the season, having played for Arsenal and Chelsea.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that the 36-year-old is out of contract at AC Milan at the end of the season and is open to a move back to the Premier League – to a club in London.

West Ham, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Brentford are the clubs mentioned in the report as ‘potential destinations’.

Giroud is 36 now, but he is going as strong as ever.

The AC Milan no. 9 has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 16 Serie A starts so far this season.

Giroud has also scored four goals and provided two assists in seven UEFA Champions League games for the Rossoneri so far this campaign.

And let us not forget that the former Arsenal and Chelsea star played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The France international striker scored four goals in six matches in Qatar.

Giroud was an Arsenal player from the summer of 2012 until January 2018, when he joined Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The Gunners paid Chelsea £18 million in transfer fees for the striker, who won the Ligue 1 title with Montpellier in 2011-12 (BBC Sport).

Giroud scored 105 goals in 253 games for Arsenal and won the FA Cup three times.

With Chelsea, the veteran striker won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and FA Cup once each.

Giroud helped Milan to the Serie A title last season.

Jack Wilshere played with Giroud at Arsenal, and the Englishman described the striker as “underrated” in The Sun in December 2022.
